My Pinterest Experiments

About a year or so ago I, like many others, got addicted to Pinterest.  :) I love that site!  I have learned most of my recipes from there, a lot of good tips from other stay at home mom's and GREAT drink recipes! lol.  But there is one thing on there that I still have not found one thing that has worked for me.  That would be my hair.  I have very long, very thick, frizzy hair.  I can straighten it, which is what i do, but being a SAHM of 2 toddlers, it is hard to straighten all that hair in the time allotted.  So I went out on a search for a way to get wavy hair without all the work and heat. I have nothing against heat, but TBH if i have to use heat, i will just straiten and that is going to take just as much time, not to mention that the curls from a curling iron do not stay long, so i want to try to find something that is leave in over night/no time involved. (wishful thinking, i know).  I started to document my findings on FB so that my friends could see my progress and see what may or may not work for them.  A few friends suggested i start a blog about it, and here i am. I actually forgot that i even created a blog, like forever ago.  But I thought it might be a good idea, so here I go.  Today I am going to show you the experiments that I did and the finding of them with my type of hair.  Please DO NOT get me wrong when i say that they did not work for me..... i do not mean that they might not work for you. I have a very difficult hair type and thought that others out there like me would get some good use out of this.

First, The Sock Bun:

The Sock Bun-beautiful-curly-hair-without-heat

I recently tried this, having very high hopes, but after trying it twice, I have to say, that this will not work for me... As you can see in the last pic, there is something to it, but after my second attempt (no pics, wish i did but didn't) I have to say that this does not work for me.

Sock Bun for my thick hair = FAIL

Braid and Flatten = curls
This technique is when you braid you hair, run a straight iron through the braid and voila.....for me, not so much.

I am actually as i type, working on another one.
I truly hope that this might help my other frizzy headed, thick haired, momma's looking for something easy.  We may never find one, but I will totally keep trying and trying until i find something that will work for us or figure out there is nothing for us :/ lol!!!! hahaha, good night ladies!
